Retno Ramp-Style Limited-Slip Differential

Retno Ramp-Style Limited-Slip Differential

Designed for performance-driven racing applications, the Retno Ramp-Style Limited-Slip Differential offers a tunable locking characteristic to help meet the demands of your drivetrain setup. Featuring a clutch-plate design, this differential uses internal pressure rings and angled ramps to convert drivetrain torque into clamping force on the clutch packs.

The ramp angles influence how aggressively the differential locks under acceleration and deceleration, allowing the differential setup to be tailored to your vehicle's handling characteristics and performance requirements.

Our standard setup features 45/45-degree ramps, providing a starting point for your differential configuration. Alternative ramp setups are available through special order for customers seeking a customized setup for their specific application.

Ramp Setup & Custom Orders

The standard Retno Limited-Slip Differential comes configured with 45/45-degree ramps. Different ramp configurations can be requested through a special order to suit your intended application and preferred locking characteristics.

Because ramp angles affect differential behavior during acceleration and deceleration, customers should select a configuration appropriate for their vehicle, drivetrain, and racing requirements.

Materials & Manufacturing

The differential components are manufactured from 8620H steel, with carburizing and quenching to achieve a specified surface hardness of HRC 45–50 and a case-hardening layer depth of 0.3–0.4 mm. The differential features a black oxide finish.

The clutch plates are manufactured from AISI 1065 steel and vacuum quenched and heat-treated to a specified hardness of HRC 45–50.

Important Fitment Information

Please confirm compatibility with your differential housing, drivetrain, and intended application before ordering. Custom ramp configurations must be requested as a special order.
